Car Park, Blackpool |
West Street Car Park in Blackpool suffered from attack by the salty sea air and shoppers and tourists were unhappy with the dull décor and narrow parking bays. |
Project Summary |
West St Car Park was seen by users to be unsafe due to unclean stairwells, its’ dark interior and narrow parking bays. Blackpool Council set aside £750,000 in order to bring it into the 21st century. They wanted to make it accessible for the disabled and easier to get in and out of both the parking bays and the car park entrances/exits. There was a need for better signage and some of the surfaces were even with poor drainage. Structural Concrete solutions helped ensure that future clientele enjoyed a better more secure atmosphere. This in turn helped many of the local businesses see an upturn in their fortunes—demonstrating how important the right ambiance can be for all forms of enterprise. |
