Knottingley was once charmingly described as the smallest town but largest village in the country. Low Cross Flats are situated on the outskirts of the town in West Yorkshire.

The local authority wanted to improve the state of the building for its’ residents and opted for repairs to the existing textured coating followed by coatings to ensure that not only did it look better, but that the structure was protected from the elements.

The was also a problem of a huge ivy plant almost 25m (75’) high covering one elevation.

Structural Concrete Solutions were selected to carry out the maintenance work. The structure was fully scaffolded on all elevations to enable to work to be carried out quickly and safely.
