James Turrell, the American artist famous for his work in bringing light from the sky close enough for the viewer to touch. His work on the Roden crater in Arizona attempt to give the visitor the feeling of going up through the earth to actually touch the sky. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the artist worked together with the Art Fund for 13 years before finally realizing their dream of bringing a skyspace to England. Structural Concrete solutions helped ensure that the artists vision was created and the area is one of the main attractions in 500 acres of parkland. |
